The company which will start operations probably in January 2009 will be a functioning business enterprise manufacturing personal computers for African markets. Staffed in part by Alchemy World student entrepreneurs, it is a great opportunity for students to learn about running a business in a totally practical manner.

 

Profits are distributed to workers and students based on performance with a significant proportion being ploughed back into Alchemy World to make it a self sustaining charity.

 

As Alchemy World rolls out more and more AWSECs (Alchemy World Social Entrepreneurship Centres) most of the ICT requirements will be fulfiled internally by Mango plc, giving our students the chance to build computers for their fellow students. Other clients will include the local government, NGOs, hotels and the wider education sector.
