Alchemy World has been honoured by the Amhara Regional Government for outstanding activities in the Amhara region. Both the AWSEC training centre and our projects for the Weyto community have contributed to this.
Alchemy World has been officially invited to attend a millenium celebration by the government in Lalibela. Ethiopias President Girma Wolde-Giyorgis was also present at the event.
The Amhara National Regional State is situated in the North West of Ethiopia. It is one of the nine ethnic divisions of the country, containing the homeland of the Amhara People. Its capital is Bahir Dar. The region also contains Ethiopias largest lake, Lake Tana, as well as the Simien Mountains National Park, which includes the highest point in Ethiopia, Ras Dashen.
